Applying for a Masa Israel Grant

All Masa Israel participants are eligible to apply for universal grants and needs-based scholarships. The amount available depends on your age: gap year and study abroad participants automatically receive $1,000 and post-college participants automatically receive $3,000 - $4,500 (depending on the length of your program). Masa Israel also offers eligible participants up to $3,000 in additional, needs-bases scholarships.

Before beginning the grant application process, be sure to have the following information:
  • The name of the program (and track, if applicable) to which you are applying
  • Your contact information, including a valid email address where you can receive the print version of your application and other important information from Masa Israel.
  • If you are applying for additional needs-based funding, please be sure to have the following information (yours, if you are applying as an independent, or your parents’, if you are applying as a dependent).
    • Official proof of all income
    • Housing lease agreements (if you are applying as an independent)
 
 To apply for a Masa Israel grant, you must:
  1. Apply directly to your program of choice
  2. Complete and sign the online application.
  3. Print, sign and date the last page (the signature page) and submit it to your program organizer.
  4. If you are also applying for needs-based funding, make sure to enclose the appropriate financial documentation, as listed above.
 *Masa Israel grants and scholarships are available to those who have not participated in a long-term Israel program since 2004 and who will participate in a Masa Israel-affiliated program. For full eligibility requirements, please see the application form.
