All programs listed include housing and Hebrew ulpan (intensive language classes) unless otherwise noted below. Program costs do not include board (meals) or airfare to and from Israel unless noted below. M.Sc/M.A. in Desert Studies at
the Arava Institute for
Environmental Studies

An innovative partnership between the Arava Institute and the Blaustein Institute for Desert Research at Ben-Gurion University, the M.A./M.Sc. program in Desert Studies offers students a unique opportunity to study at two leading environmental institutions. Students spend one year at each institution, studying desert biodiversity; evolutionary and physiological ecology; and population, community, and landscape ecology while being integrated into a learning environment with a focus on regional Middle Eastern environmental challenges.

The Arava Institute’s Year/Semester Program is an accredited, university-level program for students pursuing degrees in environmental-related fields. Over the course of one or two semesters, students engage in an interdisciplinary program built of rigorous courses in diverse environmental fields, a peace-building and leadership seminar, and may choose an independent research project as well as hands-on and field study components.
 
 
ATZil: Academics, Torah & Zionism at Ariel University of Samaria

ATZil offers students an opportunity to begin their academic studies in English while enjoying a meaningful Israel experience. Students may choose from four academic tracks: High Tech Studies - Engineering and Computer Science, Business Administration, Interdisciplinary Social Sciences, and Israel and Middle Eastern Studies.

Creative Writing Semester at Bar Ilan University

Open to gifted and emerging writers, the Creative Writing Semester at Bar Ilan University features an intense exploration of the relationships between writing, personal identity, Jewish Studies and the experience of living in Israel. All classes are given in English on the Bar-Ilan campus in Ramat-Gan, just outside of Tel Aviv.

The Teach and Study Program (TASP) at Bar Ilan University is work-study program in which students teach English in the Israeli public school system and study for an M.A. in Teaching English as a Second Language (TESOL). The program includes a teaching internship, a summer orientation on the Israeli educational system and society, a Hebrew Ulpan, and an interdisciplinary program at the School of Education and the Department of English and Linguistics at Bar Ilan University.

The Honors MBA program at Ben Gurion University, in partnership with senior faculty members at Columbia University’s School of Business, offers students a management education comparable to the best business schools in the world. The program—modeled on first rate American schools—is designed for outstanding Israeli and foreign students with top management potential. Students are immersed in a demanding schedule that emphasizes a multidisciplinary approach to all aspects of global management.

Ben Gurion University offers university graduates an opportunity to continue their studies in Israel while earning an international certificate in Anthropology, Global Health, Israel Studies, or Sustainable Development & Environmental Studies. Each program has its own academic head, typically a leading Ben-Gurion Scholar, a distinct academic structure involving a variety of educational elements such as courses, research projects, internships, stages, study tours, etc and a clear set of expected learning outcomes.

Experience the Bible as it comes to life when Israel becomes the classroom! Designed for students who wish to study contemporary Biblical (Hebrew scriptures) studies, the M.A. in the Bible & the Ancient Near East provides grounding in Biblical as well as Modern Hebrew. Students specialize in one of two tracks: “The Bible: Cultural and Historical Context” or “The Bible and the Ancient Near East.”

Study Jewish Civilization and its beginnings in Israel, where history comes alive! Designed for students who wish to study Jewish culture and sources from an interdisciplinary perspective, the M.A. in Jewish studies covers three periods: Antiquity, the Middle Ages, and the Modern era. Within each period, courses are offered in textual studies, history, philosophy, and culture.

Bring the vibrancy of Jewish Education in Israel back to your home outside Israel. The M.A. in Jewish Education acquaints students with the theory and practice of Jewish Education, in both the Diaspora and Israel. Courses are offered in a variety of fields, including the philosophy of Jewish education, psychology, sociology, contemporary Jewry, curriculum development and teaching, educational leadership, gender studies, and informal education.

The program focuses on the religions and cultures of the Mediterranean region in Late Antiquity and enables students to encounter a broad range of religious phenomena.

The M.B.A. in Global Entrepreneurship is a rigorous program designed for students with strong entrepreneurial, business or leadership skills interested in devoting most of their time and energy to developing their own businesses. The program encourages business leadership and develops students’ entrepreneurial abilities via an innovative platform for entrepreneurship studies – learning through doing – developed by the Entrepreneurship Center at IDC Herzliya.

The Global Management M.B.A. combines business studies with a specialization in global management. It includes the classic components of an M.B.A. with an international orientation and an emphasis on unique content relevant to conducting business in the global arena. The program builds on Israel’s status as a center of hi-tech entrepreneurship and depends on IDC Herzliya’s reputation and resources as a leader in interdisciplinary education. Three years of managerial work experience is requested.

The M.A. in Government provides students with a practical and theoretical understanding of the field and a set of tools needed to conduct policy-driven research and deal with policy dilemmas, challenges and problems. The program offers three specializations: Counter-Terrorism and Homeland Security, Diplomacy & Conflict Studies, and Research Track with Thesis.
 
 
Merchavim Program at Levinsky College

The “Merchavim” program at Levinsky College of Education is the only advanced study program in Israel for early childhood Jewish educators teaching in the Diaspora. The program aims to intensify participants´ interest and personal connection to Jewish heritage as prerequisites for the development of a personal commitment to Jewish education. Alongside teaching practice, participants develop individual educational projects to be implemented in their own schools or communities.

The Pardes Educators Program offers advanced studies in Jewish text and education and prepares graduates to teach in North American Jewish day schools. The curriculum includes four components: intensive Beit Midrash study, education courses and professional workshops, teaching internships, and Hebrew Ulpan. Upon completion of the program, graduates receive an M.A. and are committed to serving as full-time Judaic studies teachers in North American day schools at the elementary/middle/high school levels for at least three years.

Israel is a living laboratory for research and practice in stress, crisis, and trauma. Over the years, Israeli scholars and practitioners have developed considerable knowledge and models of intervention in these areas. This M.A. program encompasses both public disasters and personal life crises: terror and war and natural disasters in the public realm, along with such stressors as immigration, domestic violence, divorce, and illness and bereavement in the personal realm.

The MAMEH program at Tel Aviv University offers students a detailed, intellectual and objective understanding of the political and social history of the Middle East. Conducted in English, the program is offered through Tel Aviv University’s prestigious Department of Middle Eastern and African History.

The TESOL Masters program at Tel-Aviv University is specifically geared toward English speaking students from countries other than Israel. ME/MSc in Environmental Engineering at Techion: Israel Institute of Technology

The master of Engineering Program at Technion deals with the theoretical and scientific aspects of environmental engineering, as well as with principles of planning, design, construction and operation of environmental systems. These systems include water supply, sewerage and drainage, wastewater treatment and reuse, air pollution and solid waste. Only candidates holding B.Sc. from four year engineering programs will be accepted to the program.
 
 
 
Visiting Graduate Program at the

Students who have completed their undergraduate degree but would like to further their studies are welcome to enroll for a semester or year in the International School at Haifa University. Students benefit from all of the components of the regular International School Program, but have the opportunity to enrich their studies by designing a directed-reading course or independent research project in a topic of their choice. Honors programs available in Psychology and Peace & Conflict Studies.
 
 
Global Law Program at the

The Global Law Program brings together students from around the world for intense study of numerous aspects of law both internationally and in the context of Israel and the Middle East. International students study alongside Israeli students in law courses taught by visiting faculty from around the world as well as professors from the Faculty of Law at the University of Haifa. The program takes place every spring semester, though a few courses may be taught during the fall semester as well. 
 
 
M.A. in Peace & Conflict Management

The M.A. in Peace & Conflict Management combines an in-depth understanding of theory with applications from a regional and international perspective. Students investigate ethnic, national, cultural, and religious conflicts in deeply divided societies and study and evaluate different approaches to conflict management, while immersing themselves in a region that offers a great deal of relevant real-life case studies.
