All eligible participants will receive a Masa grant and/or Masa needs based scholarship. Please visit www.masaisrael.org to apply for a grant and/or scholarship.
 
All programs listed include housing and Hebrew ulpan (intensive language classes) unless otherwise noted below. Program costs do not include board (meals) or airfare to and from Israel unless noted below. Please consult with the individual program organizer’s website for specific information about what is included in each program’s cost.
 
 
Bezalel Academy of Arts & Design
Duration: 5 or 10 months
Start/End Dates: September – February (Fall); March – August (Spring)
Program Cost: $11,000 (5 months) or $18,000 (10 months)

Bezalel offers students a broad and multi-faceted scope of professional and artistic activities. Students receive a practical education at the highest level in addition to a broad-based intellectual foundation in arts and design, history, literature, philosophy, sociology, cultural studies and the fundamentals of scientific and technological thought. During the program, students are integrated into classes at Bezalel alongside Israeli students. They are introduced to new art and design techniques, while being given the freedom to develop their own artistic voice and style.
 
 
Budokan Martial Arts & Fitness
Duration: 5 months
Start/End Dates: September – February (Fall); February – July (Spring)

Budokan Martial Arts and Fitness is an unforgettable odyssey that strengthens body, mind and spirit while instilling participants with the self-defense skills and confidence that will serve them for a lifetime. This action-packed adventure kicks off with a one week extreme sports program in the Negev desert and continues with daily martial arts instruction from world-class masters and Olympic coaches in Judo, Karate and Israel’s own Krav Maga.
 
 
Conservative Yeshiva
Duration: 9 months
Start/End Dates: August 31, 2010 - May 27, 2011

The Conservative Yeshiva offers Jews of all backgrounds the skills to study classic Jewish texts in a vibrant, welcoming, pluralistic community. We offer students the opportunity to develop their skills and deepen their commitment to life long Jewish learning and practice. Classes are conducted in the traditional yeshiva method of chevruta (learning in pairs) and shiur (classes conducted by skilled teachers). The Conservative Yeshiva provides short-term, long-term, summer and advanced study options.

Culinary Arts and Wine Program
Duration: 10 months
Start/End Dates: October – August
Program Cost: Varies depending on courses selected**

The Culinary Arts and Wine Program at The Jerusalem Culinary Institute is designed for those with a proven interest in cooking. A wide range of coursework includes: theory, basic nutrition, hotel and catering management, stock flows, hygiene, food and beverage management, catering theory and the rules of commercial kitchens, and wine appreciation. Students learn to prepare full course meals that combine both traditional and gourmet dishes according to Jewish dietary laws (kashrut).

DanceJerusalem at the Jerusalem
Academy of Music and Dance (JAMD)
Duration: Semester or Academic Year
Start/End Dates: August - June
Program Cost: $8,245 (semester); $13,850 (year)

DanceJerusalem combines artistic training in dance, academic study and exposure to Israel’s challenging social, historical, and cultural environment. The program offers university-level training in the disciplines of classical ballet, contemporary dance (including Ohad Naharin’s Gaga), choreography, repertoire, and improvisation. In addition, students choose from a wide range of academic courses in Israel and Middle Eastern Studies, Comparative Religion, Environmental Studies, and Behavioral Sciences as well as Hebrew Language.

Dance Journey
Duration: 5 or 9 months
Start/End Dates: September – January (Fall); February – June (Spring)
Program Cost: $10,500 (9 months); $7,500 (5 months)

Dance Journey is a vibrant dance program available to students with at least five years of ballet training. The program offers a comprehensive general education in dance, including classical ballet, contemporary dance, yoga, Pilates, repertory, Repertoire, improvisation, and dance composition. A specialized course in Israeli dance history and music supplements the curriculum. 
 
Dance Lab
Duration: 5 months
Start/End Dates: September – January (Fall); February – June (Spring)
Program Cost: $7,800

Artness School for Movement and its Performance hosts a 5 month program of dance improvisation and performance at Artness House in Kibbutz En Shemer. The Artness School focuses on the embodiment of movement, and the discipline that creates the container for the practice and creative process of the performing artist. 
 
 
Eco-Israel
Duration: 5 months
Start/End Dates: September - January (Fall); February – July (Spring)
Program Cost: $5,000                           Estimated Masa Israel Universal Grant: $3,000*
Experience the healthy, economical and spiritual values of authentic permaculture/ecological living on a 21st century organic farm in Israel. Live with Israeli volunteers on an ecological farm near Modi’in, take part in field work, ecological learning experiences, and land of Israel studies. 
 
 
Green Apprenticeship at Kibbutz Lotan
Duration: 5 months
Start/End Dates: February - July
Program Cost: $6,750                           Estimated Masa Israel Universal Grant: $3,000*
The Green Apprenticeship at Kibbutz Lotan combines both theory and practice as participants learn about local food production through organic gardening, ecological and community design, alternative and natural building, sustainable and energy-saving technologies, and environmental ethics. Participants work in Lotan’s organic garden, on natural building projects, and on care and development of their own unique neighborhood on Lotan’s eco-campus.
 
 
Intensive Arabic Study
Duration: 5 months
Start/End Dates: January – June, September – January

The Intensive Arabic Semester at Givat Haviva offers participants the opportunity to learn classic and spoken Arabic while immersing themselves in local Jewish and Arab cultures. In conjunction with the intensive study of Arabic and Hebrew, participants also take part in a wide selection of fascinating courses in various topics related to Jewish and Middle Eastern studies. 
 
 
iTrack 
Duration: 5 to 10 Months
Start/End Dates: Customizable
Program Cost: $4,600 to $8,350
Estimated Masa Israel Universal Grant: Range from $3,000 to $4,500*
iTrack is a customized Israel experience program that is designed for Jewish young adults. The goal is for each participant to build a program, together with the iTrack staff,  that suits his or her specific needs and desires. The iTrack program also includes a madrich (counselor) whose role is to help with all problems that may arise during your stay in Israel. In addition, there are optional monthly educational seminars and tours, which foster meaningful social connections between Jewish young adults from around the world. The program can be located in a variety of areas throughout Israel, and different parts of the program can take place in different locations.  
 
 
Israel Sheli
Duration: 5 to 10 Months

Program Cost: $1,200 per month

Israel Sheli is a  program for young adults between the ages of 18 to 28 from all over the world. Israel Sheli is designed specifically for each participant - you choose your own activities. Participants can choose from studying Hebrew, studying at Israeli universities, an internship, and Israeli Defense Forces Basic Training. 
 
 
Kabbalah in Israel
Duration: 5 months
Start/End Dates: October-March

Kabbalah in Israel is your opportunity to start an amazing journey and discover the wisdom of Kabbalah. In the heart of the most dynamic Jewish city in the world – Tel Aviv, you will be learning with the best Kabbalah teachers in Israel. You will intensively learn in courses such as: "Living Kabbalah," "Secret Codes of the Torah," "In the Footsteps of the Kabbalists," "Long-lasting Relationships," "True Prosperity," "Astrology - Days of Power," "Power of the Alef-Bet," "The Power of the Zohar" and "Kabbalistic Meditation." In addition to in-depth studies, you will travel in Israel, learn Hebrew, taste some good Israeli culture, learn from experts about Israel and volunteer in local communities.
 
 
Kibbutz Ulpan
Duration: 5 months
Start/End Dates: Rolling

Kibbutz Ulpan is a work-study program designed for young adults between the ages of 18 and 28 who want to learn conversational Hebrew, work on the kibbutz, and take part in rich and unique kibbutz culture. Participating in a Kibbutz Ulpan is a time-honored tradition that countless people have experienced over the years. 
 
 
Livnot Journey
Duration: 5 months
Start/End Dates: September – January (Fall); February – June (Spring)
Program Cost: $5,400                           Estimated Masa Israel Universal Grant: $3,000*
Designed for young Jewish adults with little or no background in Judaism, Livnot Journey allows participants to build community together and themselves individually through a profound Israel experience centered on exploring collective and individual Jewish heritage. A typical week during the program includes hiking, volunteering in the community, interactive classes and discussions, one-on-one study sessions and personal time. 
 
 
Overseas Bet Midrash Program at the
Schechter Rabbinical Seminary
Duration: 8 months
Start/End Dates: October - June
Program Cost: $12,000**                         Estimated Masa Israel Universal Grant: $3,750*
The Overseas Bet Midrash Program is a full time academic program which combines Jewish and Israeli experiences based on a pluralistic and egalitarian approach. It is open to rabbinical students from all streams of Judaism as well as college graduates interested in a high-level Judaic studies program. The Bet Midrash offers guidance for students embarking on a spiritual quest to explore the texts of Bible, Talmud, Halacha, and Midrash. Learning is done in small classes alongside students from Israel and around the world, creating an atmosphere which is both Israeli and international. The program requires a high Hebrew level since all classes are conducted in Hebrew

Pardes Institute of Jewish Studies

The Year/Semester Program at the Pardes Institute of Jewish Studies in Jerusalem offers university graduates the opportunity to engage in rigorous Torah study in a non-judgmental, non-coercive environment of open inquiry and spiritual searching that allows them to develop their own deep and personal connection to Jewish heritage. The program empowers students to connect with their Jewish identity by developing the skills to understand the classical Jewish sources themselves. Study includes a wide range of topics.

Rimon School of Jazz and Contemporary Music
Duration: 9 months
Start/End Dates:

Rimon is Israel’s largest independent professional contemporary music school, and offers eight majors: composition and arranging, film scoring, song writing, jazz performance, general performance, music production and engineering and an advanced program of composition, performance and production. Students are integrated into classes at Rimon and join ensembles with the Israeli students. 
 
 
Saving the Stones
Duration: 5 months
Start/End Dates: September – February (Fall); February – July (Spring)
Program Cost: $10,915                         Estimated Masa Israel Universal Grant: $3,000*
Saving the Stones is a practical training course in historical and archaeological conservation. Offered by the International Conservation Center (ICC) in Old Acre in conjunction with the Israel Antiquities Authority (IAA), the Old Acre Development Company, and the Acre Municipality and sponsored by the Israel National Commission for UNESCO, the program features lectures, workshops and study tours. Participants learn about many renowned historical figures, nations, cultures and religious movements that have left their mark in Israel.
 
 
WUJS Arts
Duration: 5 months
Start/End Dates: September – February (Fall); March – August (Spring)
Program Cost: $7,600                           Estimated Masa Israel Universal Grant: $3,000*
Drawing inspiration from the surroundings of the world’s most special city – Jerusalem – participants on the WUJS Arts program combine studies in Judaism, Zionism, and Hebrew language with their own personal art medium. Participants also have the opportunity to meet local Israeli and Palestinians artists and feel part of the artists ‘scene’ in Jerusalem. 
 
Zoom Israel
Duration: 5 months
Start/End Dates: September 2011
